Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Some positions require certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Some positions require certification in AHA Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
- Some positions require NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification
- Some positions require Crisis Prevention training
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
- Directs and leads other assigned team members
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care
- Provides patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
