Job Title: RN Cardiac Rehab
Job Description:
This position provides direct nursing care for Cardiac Rehabilitation participants in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization and reports directly to the Clinical Manager. These duties include but may not be limited to the following:
- Nurse is responsible for performing assessments, developing a plan of care, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs.
- Monitors and interprets rhythms during participants exercise sessions. Psychosocial support provided to Phases I, II and III patients and their families as well as formal and informal education. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, the RN works collaboratively with the other members to assure a safe and accurate delivery of care.
- Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
- Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.
- Has access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
- Minimum of two years’ experience in cardiac specific care
- Proficiency in Basic Dysrhythmia interpretation minimal one year experience required
- Current BCLS and ACLS certification
