Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive People experience required with multi-site experience strongly preferred.
  • A record of success in driving People policies and practices to achieve positive organizational change that enhances employee experience and builds on company culture.
  • Demonstrated HR acumen with strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience managing complex employee relations issues, facilitating difficult conversations and conflict management.
  • General knowledge of HR practices including benefits, compensation, employment law, performance management, employee relations policies and procedures, learning and development and recruiting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related preferred.
  • Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with and influence leaders
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability: ability to successfully work under pressure, respond to shifting needs, and manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and data interface, as well as the ability to use HR metrics to tell a story and facilitate decision making.
  • High professional standards; strong customer service mentality; can be trusted to maintain confidentiality; is optimistic and possesses a “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-70% of the time
  • PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Ownership: Act like an owner. Drive accountability, lead by example, and take initiative to move your region—and VEG—forward.
  • Drive People Strategy: Build and execute a regional People strategy aligned with VEG’s mission. Partner across departments to meet evolving team needs.
  • Coach & Develop Talent: Support leaders through coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Collaborate with L&D to grow and retain top talent.
  • Foster Culture & Engagement: Champion the VEG Way. Promote inclusion, feedback, and engagement to create a connected, high-performing culture.
  • Ensure Compliance & Consistency: Guide employee relations, ensure legal compliance, and uphold consistency in how we support our people.
  • Leverage Data & Lead Initiatives: Use data to inform decisions and lead special projects that shape the future of your region and VEG as a whole.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
