Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- 5 years demonstrated leadership experience is required.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in acute care clinical experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the transfer of patients across multiple markets for the Illinois Division.
- Responsible for the development, strategic planning, and operational oversight and management of the transfer center team.
- Works closely with all referring sites across Illinois markets to build a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement to support safe and efficient patient transfers.
- Responsible for initiating planning and implementing strategies for improving Transfer Center systems and processes to improve patient access to care and service lines.
- Promotes culture change among nursing colleagues, physicians, service lines, and ancillary staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Critical care and Emergency Department experience is preferred.
- Previous medical call center or triage experience is preferred.
- Experience working within a complex multi-hospital health system is preferred.
