Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field, plus 2 years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in developing recruiting strategies for assigned area.
  • Evaluate job postings for effectiveness and provide consultation for obtaining the desired applicant pool.
  • Act as point of contact and build positive relationships with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and Compensation Partners to effectively implement recruiting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to determine future hiring needs.
  • Evaluate job postings for effectiveness and provide consultation for recruiting desired applicant pool.
  • Screen applicants for assigned areas using sound judgment and discernment.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in creating and editing social media content, strengthening BYU’s employer brand.
  • Recommend ideas for promotional campaigns on various recruiting and social media platforms to drive increased traffic to job postings.
  • Student supervision and mentoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or business.
  • Two years of recruiting experience and one year managing social media accounts.
  • Knowledge of various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks).
  • Knowledge of University and Human Resource Services policies and procedures.
  • Understanding employment best practices and hiring processes and procedures.
  • SHRM certification (CP, SCP, or Talent Acquisition)
