Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field, plus 2 years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Ability to promote company brand.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Ability to use Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
Responsibilities
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in developing recruiting strategies for assigned area.
- Evaluate job postings for effectiveness and provide consultation for obtaining the desired applicant pool.
- Act as point of contact and build positive relationships with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and Compensation Partners to effectively implement recruiting initiatives.
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers to determine future hiring needs.
- Evaluate job postings for effectiveness and provide consultation for recruiting desired applicant pool.
- Screen applicants for assigned areas using sound judgment and discernment.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in creating and editing social media content, strengthening BYU’s employer brand.
- Recommend ideas for promotional campaigns on various recruiting and social media platforms to drive increased traffic to job postings.
- Student supervision and mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or business.
- Two years of recruiting experience and one year managing social media accounts.
- Knowledge of various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks).
- Knowledge of University and Human Resource Services policies and procedures.
- Understanding employment best practices and hiring processes and procedures.
- SHRM certification (CP, SCP, or Talent Acquisition)
