Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Knowledge of title insurance and real estate closing transactions
- A high school diploma is required; however, an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic, with the ability to maintain reliable attendance and manage confidential information effectively.
Responsibilities
- Process and coordinate accounts receivables and payables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle incoming payments across the Company, facilitating efficient cash flow.
- Assist with preparing satisfaction, release, and payoff requests while managing document recordings in land records.
- Help coordinate the placement of bookable assets on the Company’s master insurance policy.
- Open and manage recovery files, process recovery data, and assist with monthly reporting.
- Oversee minor liability recovery files related to title claims arising from policies issued by agents, managing operations across multiple states nationwide.
- Assess and identify recovery opportunities for claims with associated losses, ensuring a strategic approach to each case.
- Conduct thorough investigations to gather essential information necessary for effective recovery efforts.
- Liaise with agents, management, and responsible parties, maintaining clear and professional correspondence throughout the recovery process.
- Ensure statutory compliance in all debt collection activities, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
- Negotiate settlements aimed at mitigating losses for the company, leveraging expertise to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain office organization, manage supply inventory, and support team members across various locations.
- Open claims as directed, prepare claims acknowledgment letters, and assist Recovery Administrators and Attorneys with claims management tasks.
- Foster professional and collaborative relationships with peers, supervisors, and external customers.
