2 years experience in rail transportation or logistics industry required
Advanced knowledge of Google applications (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
Ability to operate custom supply chain software (ALTO, PI)
Ability to be on-call after normal working hours due to the 24-hour nature of our business.

Execute the Ortec Supply Chain Design plan on optimizing the rail car fleet.
Analyze all rail routes to improve transit/turn times with the RSI software program in order to plan an optimized LAR rail schedule for our 175+ railcar fleet.
Actively works to improve rail detention time at rail depots work with railroads to identify and correct issues related to routing, spotting, etc.
Makes recommendations on utilizing rail vs. truck, in conjunction with distribution, Supply Chain and Logistics.
Support LAR Supply Chain Manager on continuous improvement projects.
Identify/track rail product losses and provide recommendations on reductions.
Ensure all rail shipments are accurately billed in ALTO on a monthly basis.
Compile and complete rail reports on a monthly basis.
Works closely with Railcar Fleet Maintenance team diagnosing and resolving issues with railcars at the source and destination.
Manages the LAR inventory levels at all rail depots to ensure customer supply is met.
Works closely with the AMG Logistics and Air Liquide Large Industries team(s) to manage LAR truck deliveries required for loading rail, including managing/scheduling 3rd party carriers dedicated to this task.
