Requirements
- Completion of Radiologic Technology programs from approved school.
- Registered Radiographer (R) with American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
- Current Radiology state license.
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Adjust and control complex electronic equipment in applying ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
- Prepare and position patients prior to procedures to ensure their safety and to obtain desired reports for diagnostic purposes.
- Calculate and select appropriate equipment and technical factors such as proper type of film and number of kilovolts or milliamperes.
- Maintain working condition of all equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for adjustments to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining sanitary condition of radiology area.
- Comply with all Radiology information system entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors.
- Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect.
- Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
