Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or math from an accredited institution with at least 2-4 years prior relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or math with less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading a team of talented employees to provide high-end technical services in a competitive environment.
  • Enabling technologies including radar and EW, signal processing and tracking, physics modeling & simulation, analytical tool development, and data analysis.
  • Must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in one or more of the following: signals and systems, digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, electromagnetics
  • Should be able to apply one or more of these skills to the areas of radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, digital signal processing, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing of sensor systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding, evaluating, and implementing published scientific literature from sources such as IEEE is highly valued.
  • Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or science based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics are valued.
  • Candidate must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
  • Must be a US citizen, be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support Advanced Technology Radar and EW programs including research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, high-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems; and CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems.
  • The Engineer in this role is expected to quickly immerse into radar and sensor phenomenology and our existing tools and models to begin contributing to new features.
  • A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals will be assigned.
  • Organizational skills will be paramount and managing multiple tasks while ensuring the work remains compatible with the group’s larger codebases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in radar system development and/or modeling.
  • Experience in high performance computing languages such as C++.
  • Experience in development or operations of radar HWILs.
  • Technical writing experience
