Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • In-depth understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of inspectors and technicians within the Quality department.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100, and any other relevant certifications.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality inspection protocols and procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist technicians in solving quality issues.
  • Monitor and review inspection and test data, identifying trends, and initiating corrective action as necessary.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to quality team members, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality products are delivered on time.
  • Maintain clear communication with senior management and provide reports on quality activities and performance metrics.
  • Perform internal audits, facilitate third-party audits, and ensure audit findings are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development and review of specifications for products or processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in quality assurance (CQA) or quality engineering (CQE) is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of quality tools and software, including statistical analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
