Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science or Technical area
- Preferred 10 years’ experience with aluminum manufacturing or metal-forming processes
- Preferred Rolling mill experience
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Results oriented
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience applying third-party quality systems and leading audits
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, lead and run multiple short and long-term projects and initiatives with timeline and result driven
- Strong experience in management with a proven track record of teamwork skills and ability to build and manage multidisciplinary teams, to grow and develop people
- Experience implementing quality systems and leading change through strategic direction
- Good discernment and understanding of rolling business P&L
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Quality Management System is maintained to a level to meet ISO 9000:2015 or better
- Manage the physical testing lab
- Drive customer satisfaction
- Drive plant recovery improvements
- Manage product realization through the Product Metallurgists and the Material Master Specialist
- Mentor, train and coach Metallurgists, Technicians and other Quality Professionals
- Drive and lead product performance problem-solving teams across multiple fields
- Resolve customer quality issues efficiently
- Maintaining strong leadership, including the ability to lead teams across all departments, envisioning and articulating the strategy and passionately owning and driving the team towards achievement
- Continuously benchmarking, identifying and developing standard methodologies, and systematically deploying Warrick operations
- 5-10% travel
