Quality Inspector – Mechanical / Harness – Level 2

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands on inspection experience with cables, harnesses, and mechanical parts
• Ability to understand and interpret complex GD&T requirements and validate complex assemblies
• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

• Performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections
• Inspecting for gross damage, verifying proper part number revision, quantity, and documentation to meet quality standards
• Using hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and bore gages
• Ensure components are correctly installed, wired, and function as needed.
• Ensure no FOD is present.
• Validation of conformance to drawing requirements
• Validation of the test package, including any qualification test reports
• Complete pull testing and visual inspection
• Complete hardness check from sample taken by production
• Hi-pot testing review
• Shock and vibe review
• Harness inspections per IPC standards
• Cable length verification

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC 620 certification preferred
