Requirements
- High-level of visual awareness
- Advanced organizational skills
- Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges, specifications, charts, and diagrams
- Ability to accurately read measuring devices, blueprints, product specifications and test procedures
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
- Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience drafting reports and collating data
- Computer skills are required, familiarity with windows and Microsoft office suite
Responsibilities
- Must perform all duties in the department in a safe manner and consistent with all company safety rules
- Inspect goods or products according to quality specifications, safety standards and parts characterization
- Collate test or production data, providing summary tables and routine quality reports
- Disposition suspect product as scrap, rework, or approved
- Notify supervisor when quality, test, and inspection data exceed acceptable limits or when incidents of poor quality are noted
- Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control and quality system work processes. Makes recommendations to Manager regarding observations and findings
- Develop and maintain quality records and metrics
- Ensure goods and products comply with company standards
- Record and administer quality documents such as quality specifications, forms, and instructions
- Assist in internal, third party, and customer audits
- Support operation and coordination of calibration on all testing devices
- Assist with testing of supplier samples and special inspections
- Develops and demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of established quality policy, procedures, and instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; 2-year trade school degree/diploma preferred
- Background in R&D or manufacturing environment a plus
