Requirements

  • High-level of visual awareness
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges, specifications, charts, and diagrams
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices, blueprints, product specifications and test procedures
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data
  • Computer skills are required, familiarity with windows and Microsoft office suite

Responsibilities

  • Must perform all duties in the department in a safe manner and consistent with all company safety rules
  • Inspect goods or products according to quality specifications, safety standards and parts characterization
  • Collate test or production data, providing summary tables and routine quality reports
  • Disposition suspect product as scrap, rework, or approved
  • Notify supervisor when quality, test, and inspection data exceed acceptable limits or when incidents of poor quality are noted
  • Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control and quality system work processes. Makes recommendations to Manager regarding observations and findings
  • Develop and maintain quality records and metrics
  • Ensure goods and products comply with company standards
  • Record and administer quality documents such as quality specifications, forms, and instructions
  • Assist in internal, third party, and customer audits
  • Support operation and coordination of calibration on all testing devices
  • Assist with testing of supplier samples and special inspections
  • Develops and demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of established quality policy, procedures, and instructions

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; 2-year trade school degree/diploma preferred
  • Background in R&D or manufacturing environment a plus
