Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of AIAG quality core tools, with an emphasis on PPAP
- Ability to lead a cross functional team in RCA (root cause analysis). Experience with problem solving techniques such as 8D, Fishbone diagram, 5-why
- Experience with engineering drawings & tolerance, standards & specifications
- Technical knowledge and hand-on experience using various measurements equipment (CMM, OGP, Comparator etc) preferable
- Ability to manage multiple projects/activities; results-driven
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Measure and monitor supplier performance including PPM levels
- Function as a lead auditor to evaluate high risk suppliers and drive corrective actions to improve underperformance
- Experience using or navigating through an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Responsibilities
- Own all quality activities related to the supply base
- Assist with supplier selection
- Conduct supplier audits
- Support design and manufacturing for new product development
- Perform root cause analysis of component failures
- Assist with analysis of reports and production data
- Provide recommendations on quality standards and procedures when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma required. Engineering degree strongly preferred.
- 2-3 years of applicable experience within Quality Engineering with exposure to electrical/electronic products.
- Experience within an IATF certified environment preferred. VDA experience a plus.
