Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years experience in a procurement management role leading direct reports
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in global sourcing and international logistics
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement initiatives and/or ISO, AS, TS standards
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, material planning (MRP), Inventory Control, and just-in-time (JIT) practices
  • Excellent mathematics, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with production schedules, cost targets, and quality standards
  • Supervise, train, and develop a team of buyers and purchasing coordinators. Assign responsibilities, set goals, and monitor performance
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers; conduct regular performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, cost, and service
  • Support contract negotiations with suppliers to secure the best value while minimizing risk and ensuring supply continuity
  • Collaborate with planning, production, and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid material shortages or excess
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and applicable regulations
  • Oversee data accuracy in the ERP system (e.g., Coupa, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite), including vendor records, lead times, and pricing
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce lead times, and support lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Analyze purchasing data and generate reports on KPIs, spend trends, cost savings, and supplier performance
  • Lead by example and be a champion of all company policies, including safety, attendance & security

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global procurement management experience, strongly preferred
  • Injection Molding experience, strongly preferred
  • Industry-specific knowledge or certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM, APICS), preferred
  • Master’s degree or MBA, preferred
