Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of work experience in public relations or a related field.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Media relations experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Consultation: Develop public relation communications solutions that drive identified business outcomes.
  • Create Compelling Content: Develop effective and compelling public relations content based on a deep understanding of the target audience and the broader operating environment.
  • Execute Cost-Effective Deliverables: Determine cost-effective means to execute key public relations deliverables.
  • Resolve Conflicts: Act as a trusted advisor to influence, coach, and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts over content or public relations recommendations.
  • Research and Write: Research, write, and assist with press releases and other communication materials that are professional, effective, and accurate.
  • Ensure Consistency: Apply Vanguard’s style, usage, and brand standards to ensure consistency.
  • Develop Relationships: Strengthen working relationships with key influencers across the organization and in the industry to support public relations and business objectives.
  • Participate in Special Projects: Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
