Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience, some in the financial industry preferred; private equity and/or deal experience a plus
- A track record at developing and managing media relations either from PR agency, corporate or government roles
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently work within tight deadlines
- Proactive and hands-on; thrives in a dynamic environment
- Experience managing reputational risk and advising on strategy
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact effectively with other senior level employees and outside contacts
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the firm’s Private Equity business units on media strategy and specific transaction communications
- Multi-faceted project management with a lean team
- Acting as firm spokesperson with the press, including proactive media outreach and reactive story management
- Managing press events, including interviews
- Drafting and coordinating press releases, media campaigns, talking points, thought leadership initiatives, and internal communications
- Helping manage communications relationships with portfolio companies
