Requirements
- Doctorate: psychology
- 5 years of recent relevant experience
- Knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities with children, adolescents, and adults
- Knowledge of psychosocial factors relevant to mental health
- Knowledge of and adherence to American Psychological Association ethical standards
- Knowledge of the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, psychotherapeutic modalities, and interventions
- Ability to effectively work with a wide range of psychiatric treatment problems
- Ability to cooperatively work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions regarding assessing patients’ acuity and appropriate dispositions
Responsibilities
- Provides assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning services for patients with medical and developmental disorders
- Develops emerging skills and potential for independence in autonomous decision making, assessment, treatment planning, evidence based interventions, and inter/intra community resource coordination
