Requirements

  • 5+ years proven experience with design, fabrication, build, and assembly
  • Proficiency in CAD and large assembly model and configuration management (Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM preferred)
  • Experience solving issues related to non-conforming hardware
  • Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing/assembly methods
  • Knowledgeable with GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization
  • B.S. degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Propulsion Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering ownership of top-level engine configurations (including design and analysis aspects)
  • Creation and release of engine assembly models and 3D installation drawings
  • Engine build support
  • Non-conformance resolution
  • Driving engine build time reduction through design for manufacturing/assembly improvements in both the development and production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design, production, manufacturing, and assembly of complex integrated systems
  • Experience with cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility
  • Experience with production quality management systems
  • Experience with 3D drawings and Model Based Definition (MBD)
  • Experience performing analysis (hand-calcs and/or FEA)
