Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant years of progressive experience in Engineering, Technical project management or Product development roles commensurate with the level of this position.
- Strong eye for business and ability to connect technical execution to customer value and business growth.
- Experience implementing standardized project workflows and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven track record to inspire, coach, and build high-performing teams in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and collaborator leadership skills.
- Ability to travel 15% based on business need.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership to a team of Project Engineers and Project Technicians responsible for delivering large, project-based business, ensuring effective management of time, cost, and quality.
- Define and implement the overarching project execution strategy, ensuring alignment with Branson’s operational and commercial goals.
- Develop and mentor team members, encouraging a collaborative, development-focused environment passionate about professional growth and accountability.
- Oversee project planning processes, including the definition of scope, objectives, timelines, prioritization, and budget management.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics) to ensure cost, quality, and lead time targets are met—holding the team accountable for measurable performance and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination with internal and external collaborators, including customers.
- Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across project workflows.
- Act as Site Leader for Branson’s Innovation Center in Farmington Hills, MI, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion, safety, and customer service across a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Engineering, Technical project management or Product development roles.
- 7+ years’ experience leading a team.
- Experience working in a technical, manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Experience with Project Management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Experience with CRM (Oracle, SalesForce, etc.).
- Experience in custom equipment, automation, or Engineered-to-Order (ETO) environments.
- PMI/PMP certification.
