Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in fund operations, audit, project management and/or business analysis within the asset management or financial services industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex fund operation projects and driving business process improvements
• Strong understanding of fund operations, investment products, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in project management and business analysis methodologies, tools and software

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, managing high-risk initiatives related to fund operations, technology implementations, regulatory changes, vendor onboarding/offboarding, and product events
• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of strategic business initiative and fund operation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Provide transparency through discussions and dashboards to highlight project status, upcoming events, and risks
• Escalate issues promptly that may impact project delivery, with recommendations on mitigation strategies
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and senior management
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budget to ensure successful project delivery
• Collaborate with business partners to understand their processes, identify inefficiencies, and gather requirements for process improvements
• Analyze existing processes and develop recommendations for enhancements to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain a good understanding of fund operation processes, controls and risk management
• Understand the needs, priorities, and challenges of each function within the operations team to evaluate and determine solutions for improving operational workflows through process changes, technology deployment, and personnel adjustments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations
• Act as a liaise between business partners and IT Agile squads to ensure requirements are understood and objectives are met within the agreed timeline
• Ability to lead change, develop and execute strategic and tactical plans, and resolve conflicts

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with automation tools, machine learning, and AI, a plus
