Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6)
  • Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc) required
  • Demonstrated experience managing project financials, proposals, scopes, and schedules
  • Previous Experience working with various contract types including Fixed Price and Time & Material
  • Must have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks
  • Must have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and report project financial performance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams in completing engineering design of various sized electric infrastructure projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utility customers
  • Be responsible for overall project performance and reporting
  • Manage project costs, schedule and scope, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits
  • Ensure contract compliance
  • Drive work products by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables
  • Ensure and document adherence to the quality control process
  • Interface directly with the client and internal management to solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and risks across a program of projects
  • Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel
  • Assist with the preparation of bid documents, development of cost estimates and responses to Requests For Proposal
  • Complete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed time frames
  • Assist your team in identifying potential business development opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification is preferred but not required; Ideal Candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification within two years
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Operational experience in Microsoft PowerBI
  • Previous exposure to projects for major US electric utilities
  • Demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business
  • Advanced use/expertise in Excel preferred
