Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in active apparel design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes, with a focus on performance fabrics, techniques and construction.
  • Understanding of costing process and cost engineering.
  • Effective communicator and process supporter.
  • Data integrity expert.
  • Keen eye for detail, trend and innovation opportunities and ability to translate these into commercial products.
  • A team player with a positive mindset, no task too big or too small attitude.
  • Highly organized & detail oriented with strong time management skills with the ability to drive process and deliverables to meet calendar requirements and expectations.
  • Eagerness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by teamwork and collaborative innovation.
  • Strong knowledge of apparel PLM systems, implementation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing the design process under the leadership of the Director of Product.
  • Involved in the process from sketching, responsible for tech pack creation and maintenance, attend garment fittings per category, technique development and design-related follow-up, partnering with cross functional team members to take product from concept to production ready.
  • Support the direction of the Director of Product to compile color, print and trims into a cohesive product strategy and eventually lead into an assortment that is consistent with business strategies & customer needs.
  • Research competitor products, product opportunities, color and market trends and filter into relevant concepts appropriate to the business and Peloton member community.
  • Find original inspiration and create original, innovative designs.
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional partners to pass deliverables on time and accurately.
  • Set up all files that outline graphic placement with graphic technique requests that are achievable and within vendor capabilities.
  • Partner with Product Development to source and develop signature Peloton fabric & trim qualities; focusing in on sustainable sourcing when possible.
  • Partner in PLM style set up and maintenance and support needed data inputs for product and component development.
  • Ensure that attention to detail is being paid to product during all stages of design through to production and manufacturing.
  • Evaluate prototypes at all stages of development and production to closely collaborate with the technical design teams for product execution.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of information flow between Design, Development, Production and Merchandising teams.
