Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within facilities development.
  • Professional certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of overseeing multiple construction projects and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial equipment, including dishwashers, refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Demonstrated management skills and planning ability, with a commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with procurement to oversee the tendering process and ensure seamless continuity of operations for new projects.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure design concepts, interior decoration, and fittings meet required standards and branding guidelines.
  • Direct and coordinate building extensions or renovations, liaising with various authorities and stakeholders to achieve project goals within budget and timeframe.
  • Implement financial controls to maintain project budgets while exploring green energy options and sustainable practices.
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets and schedules, monitoring and controlling construction progress on new developments.
  • Lead property strategy related to growth or acquisition activities.
  • Coordinate facilities staff activities and oversee staff selection and training.
  • Review proposals for new projects or modifications, ensuring compliance with relevant acts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare documentation and project progress/status reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade qualifications in building maintenance are preferred.
  • Familiarity with National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and Chain of Responsibility is a plus.
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies, such as Lean.
