Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development with 2+ years of experience with MathWorks Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++.
- Understand the operation of electronic circuit components for use in a real-time, embedded product environment – Experience in brushless motor controls a plus.
- Experience with microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Experience with Atlassian products Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Responsibilities
- Develop control algorithms through system modeling for power tool applications.
- Model and simulate BLDC motor control schemes using Matlab/Simulink.
- Develop system models and simulations for all phases of product development including prototyping, model testing, and system validation.
- Lead development of new technologies to reduce development time.
- Integration of systems and software, which includes system level debugging (software, electrical, and mechanical) problems with software diagnostics.
- Conduct system-level testing and validation through simulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
