Requirements
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent coursework) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the development of high reliability electronics and electronics assemblies
- Aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly administer advanced design and/or analysis techniques
- Familiarity in Military / Aerospace programs and products
- Familiarity with the design life cycle including design, qualification, and certification of electronics for aircraft applications
Responsibilities
- Support the Generation of proposals for new aircraft platforms in accordance with customer requirements – (in coordination with technical lead) responsible for technical concept generation and requirement compliance
- Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write ups
- Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation
- Maintain oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs
- Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
- Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
- Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team
- Proposal volume development and costing support for business unit
- Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs
Preferred Qualifications
- MS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent coursework) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the development of high reliability electronics and electronics assemblies
- Exposure to multi-discipline engineering teams (digital, mechanical, power, motor…etc)
- Competency with various electronics military specifications
- Practical experience in electric components / methodologies and standards associated with the aerospace industry
- Exposure to power electronics a plus
