Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent coursework) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the development of high reliability electronics and electronics assemblies
  • Aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly administer advanced design and/or analysis techniques
  • Familiarity in Military / Aerospace programs and products
  • Familiarity with the design life cycle including design, qualification, and certification of electronics for aircraft applications

Responsibilities

  • Support the Generation of proposals for new aircraft platforms in accordance with customer requirements – (in coordination with technical lead) responsible for technical concept generation and requirement compliance
  • Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write ups
  • Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation
  • Maintain oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
  • Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team
  • Proposal volume development and costing support for business unit
  • Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent coursework) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the development of high reliability electronics and electronics assemblies
  • Exposure to multi-discipline engineering teams (digital, mechanical, power, motor…etc)
  • Competency with various electronics military specifications
  • Practical experience in electric components / methodologies and standards associated with the aerospace industry
  • Exposure to power electronics a plus
