Job Description

The Project & Change Manager will be a member of the Sourcing Center of Excellence team. The Project and Change Manager will oversee sourcing projects while managing change initiatives to ensure successful implementation and adoption. This role combines project management expertise with change management strategies to drive efficiency and minimize resistance.

The ideal candidate will develop project plans to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. They will drive employee adoption of new processes, tools, and company changes, including business processes, sourcing policies, programs, systems, technology, and organizational structures. This role is accountable for efficient and consistent project delivery.

Candidates should have sourcing experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for successful project delivery that enhances sourcing capabilities and efficiency. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, material planning, supplier quality, IT, and others.

Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management:

  • Lead sourcing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.

Change Management:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies for sourcing projects and organizational changes.
  • Identify potential resistance and develop plans to mitigate it.
  • Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to ensure smooth transitions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input and feedback.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing projects involving diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Broad supply chain experience, such as global sourcing, new product introduction, supply planning, demand management and forecasting, channel operations management
  • Proven ability to achieve results through building partnerships and influence senior leaders, leading change without direct authority
  • Conduct change audits to ensure sustained execution of internal and external supply chain improvement projects.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles to enhance future projects efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and manage program risks as identified by the team including prioritization and mitigation plans.
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of change initiatives on the organization.
  • Use problem-solving techniques to properly identify, resolve, document and communicate issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Problem Solving Methodologies & Value Stream Designing
