Requirements

  • Three years of experience in a healthcare, epidemiology or other disease control setting which includes two years of experience supervising field and office staff
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a business or healthcare-related field
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall program supervision of the field, epidemiology and clinic staff. Recruits, retains, and maintains high-quality staff. Develops and assists supervisors in the development of individual performance plans, goals, and evaluations; performs evaluations of subordinate supervisors; provides guidance to the supervisors to develop staffing schedules and work assignments; monitors and evaluates productivity to ensure that resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Develops performance and outcome objectives for the program staff to ensure high-quality health care and exceptional customer service. Measures progress toward achieving objectives. Evaluates internal processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
  • Develops and conducts training for staff and monitors staff competency, developing corrective action plans as necessary
  • Reviews, develops, maintains and implements programmatic protocols. Ensures reports as required by programmatic grants are completed accurately and timely manner
  • Develops and monitors program budgets and expenditures. Coordinates, implements, and monitors quality control and quality assurance activities and initiates necessary changes to improve quality and cost effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on epidemiology or other disease control-related areas
  • Three years of public health program management experience, of which two years are related to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of STIs
