Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Experience in program planning and administration is required, preferably in an academic setting related to undergraduate or graduate medical education
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point desired
- Experience managing information in web-based software applications desired
- Knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and data management desired
- Successful completion of a background check is required
- Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the search and hiring processes for all faculty hires
- Posting national advertisements
- Planning candidates’ travel and preparing itineraries
- Utilizing OSU systems (Workday and Meditract) to process new faculty hires
- Understanding and interpreting OAA policies, faculty affairs forms, faculty offer letters, and faculty appointments
- Assisting in the processing of pay (including PAP, one-time payments, additional duty pay, Supp. Comp., faculty FAA (allowances), one-time pay for taxable items, etc.)
- Entering and submitting faculty and staff compensation and job changes in Workday
- Editing position restrictions for updates and/or job postings
- Entering and submitting cost allocations for positions
- Assisting with preparation of Graduate Associate appointments
- Coordinating access for guests and affiliates by creating guest and affiliate accounts
- Initiating and submitting faculty position/posting requests and requests to rehire retired Ohio State faculty/staff members
- Overseeing and maintaining personnel records and files
- Generating and reviewing relevant payroll reports to identify any issues with actual payroll data
- Submitting job requisitions for FWS jobs
- Entering increases into SHRS AMCP department spreadsheets
- Initiating and processing procurement requests along with proper documentation
- Troubleshooting unresolved payments for faculty, staff, and students
- Other duties as assigned.
