Requirements
- Applicants must possess a DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree and be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Completion of General Practice Residency (GPR) Program or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD).
Responsibilities
- Support the General Practice Residency Program (GPR) Director in the recruitment, training, and supervision of postgraduate students specializing in Advanced Dental Education Program in General Practice Residency within CMPD.
- Assist in program administration, curriculum development and implementation, ongoing CQI in resident performance and faculty teaching proficiency, overseeing off-site rotations, maintenance of records related to the educational program, and resident selection.
- Teach both didactic and clinical coursework and provide clinical supervision of GPR residents.
- Provide didactic and clinical instruction to undergraduate (DMD) students based on departmental needs.
- Participate in scholarship and service activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certified to provide IV conscious sedation (or willingness to pursue training)
- Experience providing dental care within a hospital operating room
- Demonstrated clinical excellence through their previous work
