Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business administration or any related degree.
- In addition to bachelor’s degree, three (3) years of related work experience.
- In Lieu of Degree, High School Diploma/GED plus 8 or more years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, website, and other channels.
- Identify customer needs and offer consultation on outdoor lighting products.
- Support Outdoor Lighting program managers with the full sales process from lead engagement to close, develop proposals/quotes tailored to customer requirements as needed.
- Develop proposals/quotes tailored to customer requirements.
- Provide basic post-sale customer service support and coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex requests outside of sales team scope.
- Explaining program benefits, lighting products and assisting in movement through the project process.
- Generate new business and manage account relationships for (e.g., HOAs, schools/universities, hospitals).
- Research prospective customers (through market intelligence, online research, etc.), with a focus on underserved areas within Duke’s footprint.
- Partners with inside sales as needed for complex opportunities that may require on-site sales support.
- Provide ongoing account management support post-sale to drive cross-selling across P&S products, ensure positive customer experience and repeat business.
- Be familiar with Outdoor Lighting product spec sheets and work with marketing on making any revisions/updates.
- Help ensure the DE.com webpages for Outdoor Lighting are current and contain correct spec sheets.
- Know how to order branded collateral (giveaways) with outside vendors.
- Assist with event management, conferences, lunch and learns, etc.
- Collaborates, builds relationships, effectively communicates (both orally and in writing) and provides feedback to Designers on work request design issues.

- Experience working in utility regulatory environment.
- Comprehensive financial and business acumen.
- Analytics capability/ proven ability to analyze market and financial data and research to develop successful customer and product strategies and plans, e.g., market research, market strategy, competitive intelligence, product management, Project development, Facility management, product management, program management, energy management, project management or process management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, process integration and implementation and supervisory or management experience.
- Business operation experience.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including communications skills, presentation skills, conflict resolution and management skills, excellent leadership skills and good facilitation skills at all levels, both internally and externally to Duke Energy.
