Production Trainer

Associates or 3+ years of experience in training within a manufacturing environment
Excellent computer skills using the Windows Office and Google Office suites
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management

Create training plans for the site operations
Directly interact with production group leaders on the area training and documentation needs
Directly interact with engineering teams in the area of training and documentation needs
Help develop ‘in-line’ training
Certify PIV drivers
Create the documentation for each process and workstation in a given manufacturing department
Maintain training and validation records in all processes ensuring a flexible workforce
Assist New Product Introduction with training and documentation of Standard Work Instructions prior to transitioning to production
Perform and review time studies on processes to reduce cycle time and improve cost
Investigate and root cause workmanship quality issues
Work with engineering on any new process updates and improvements
Write and post operator alerts
Work directly with EHS team for all documentation and training needs
Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen, ensuring the value stream is achieving plan
Adhering to and ensuring employees, visitors and contractors are following Company safety policies and work procedures
Communicating with the Warehouse team, making requests for materials, and reporting issues
Attending meetings as necessary
Other duties as assigned

Flexibility to work a different shift for short periods to facilitate training curriculum preferred
Knowledge of lean principles including kaizens, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and waste reduction is a plus
Minimum 3 years experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment preferred
Minimum 3 years experience training and creating documentation in a manufacturing assembly environment preferred
