Requirements
- 3-5+ years in process operations, preferably with supervisory experience.
- In-depth understanding of production management principles and practices.
- Leadership, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of production processes.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, six sigma, or continuous improvement method is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track chemical inventory levels
- Order supplies and materials as needed
- Monitor Equipment systems and control panels.
- Ensure processes run safely, efficiently, and within quality standards.
- Train new process operators
- Manage and schedule operators and technicians.
- Report operational data and status to upper management.
- Communicate with maintenance, quality control, engineering, and logistics teams.
- Recommend or implement improvements to increase efficiency.
- Monitor production metrics (e.g., yield, waste, downtime).
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Conduct regular safety training for production team members
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns or hazards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to align processes and achieve goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, six sigma, or continuous improvement method is a plus.
