Requirements

- Minimum of Associates or Technical Degree (Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline is preferred)
- Minimum 7+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Review daily visual production boards to maintain efficient production performance; provides prioritized production scheduling to all Lead Associates and team members.
- Responsible for the implementation of Lean principles in their area to include elements of takt-time, balanced flow process, visual factory, empowered team meetings, total safety, standardized work and world class 5S standards.
- Supervise all work performed in their area; offer coaching/mentoring and/or corrective action when appropriate.
- Develop and empower team members in the application of Lean tools to include facilitation, process mapping, spaghetti charting, and the identification and elimination of the 7 wastes.
- Lead the effort in safety compliance, improvement and promoting awareness in accordance with company safety requirements and guidelines; drive 5S into the production line on a daily basis.
- Help coordinate ‘Pull’ signals and shop activities on a daily basis; promote 1 piece flow and response to daily customer demand; support Kanban Supermarkets where needed.
- Support Kanban inventory replenishment in coordination with Planner/Buyers and Material Handlers.
- Respond to line down issues and provide leadership to root cause analysis and corrective action plan execution.
- Provide assistance to the Lead Associates and team members.
- Keeps Facilities / Maintenance informed of any issue outside of normal with any of the production or production support equipment.
- Conduct meetings with Lead Associates (if there are any in the Value Stream) as needed.
- Participate in Kaizen events as needed. Review and update ECO’s.
- Help approve weekly attendance for temporary team members.
- Ensure quality standards are met with all products. Administer AERCO policies and procedures. Additional projects as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline is preferred
