Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; if no degree, 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Manage work order creation, size, due dates and completion, develop and manage an open work order review system.
- Establish daily and weekly protocol for monitoring sales backlog and escalation as required.
- Make delivery commitments for all products, which involve checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity. Ensure production schedules and sales backlogs are monitored closely for on-time completion.
- Communicate with purchasing regarding any material shortages that will affect our ability to meet our required sales order ship dates.
- Assist in reviewing, creating, and adjusting sales order forecast as needed.
- Monitor actual output versus the Production Build Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics on production performance to the requested production schedule. Communicate with customer service if there is a delay in meeting their product orders.
- Create and support visual management system by setting up sub-assembly, final assembly, and finished goods inventory kanban.
- Create and update RMA log to track in process RMAs.
- Monitor product calibration dates and plan any necessary recalibrations.
- Support EOL product transition, monitoring the key EOL components, and the plan for final buy, last makes and long-term service support etc. Monitor current Bill of Materials and coordinate with Engineering management on a plan for End-of-Life transitions.
- Assist in NPD process and product transitions by reviewing forecast, material demand and releasing production orders at each stage of the development process.
- Assist in inventory analysis regarding excess and obsolete inventory and reducing DSI.
- Manage assigned ECOs and Assist in ECO driven product updates.
- Attend weekly Tier, SQDIP, and SIOP meetings to communicate changes, improvements, and or initiatives.
- Assist in other planning related issues that include but are not limited to BOMs, serial numbers, routings, cycle counting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using MRP / ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, time management and data entry skills
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques a plus.
- Microsoft Office skills
