Requirements
- Graduate of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Diploma in Engineering Technology (or equivalent education and experience)
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in open pit mining, construction or a related industry
- Mechanical experience with process equipment (e.g., jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, classifiers, dredges)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to proactively manage health and safety of employees
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Office suite as well as production software such as AOM and Agg Flow
- Proven commitment and execution continuous improvement opportunities
Responsibilities
- Promote safe work habits and provide safe working conditions, including leading daily tailgate meetings and ensuring job tasks are completed as per procedures
- Supervise and direct production crews to meet annual and daily performance targets
- Ensure quality control of materials in collaboration with the Quality Control Department
- Manage inventory of crushed and washed materials based on sales forecasts
- Support plant and mobile repairs and maintenance with the Pine Ridge/Seddon’s Corner Maintenance Supervisor
- Support prospecting opportunities for new aggregate reserves
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities
