Requirements

  • Proficiency with third-party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate both marketing and IT needs/issues to diverse groups.
  • Deep understanding of iterative/agile development processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of information technology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate the strategic vision and direction for the product team, aligning with upper management and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive 3-year product roadmap, release plan, and backlog.
  • Oversee product-specific project plans, negotiate feature requirements, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Lead the team in using agile methodologies, including Scrum, to enhance team effectiveness and productivity.
  • Translate technical jargon into business benefits, training internal teams and key stakeholders on product features.
  • Work collaboratively with Architecture, Security Liaison, and the Platform Director to manage the product platform.
  • Ensure product quality and information security requirements are met, coordinating software releases and resolving product defects.
  • Ability to participate and lead technical discussions within the product space, while also engaging with business partners to understand their needs.
  • Experience working across architecture and infrastructure teams, driving outcomes required by business partners.
  • Strong ability to facilitate and resolve disagreements over scope, design, and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Product Owner certification or equivalent preferred.
