Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 3+ years with a Master’s)
  • Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years working in building platforms for developers as an engineer and/or domain knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience leading initiatives across large engineering organizations and working with cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Workday’s customers, partners, development teams including architecture, consultants, operations, and product teams to understand their requirements and priorities
  • Work closely with the development organization through design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of the product to ensure its quality and successful delivery on-time
  • Define a product roadmap and determine requirements for each release based on user requirements, technical architecture, and business needs
  • Guide the product teams towards high value OKRs
  • Handle education and adoption of platform features by internal development teams
  • Coordinate and align requirements across multiple scrum teams operating in a sophisticated distributed software environment
  • Communicate and evangelize the product area among the Workday community and at Workday’s Rising and DevCon conferences
  • Lead technical discussions with customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic thinking and ability to simplify complex issues
  • Working and collaborating with cross teams inside of Workday but also outside of the Extend organization
  • Being good at analyzing data, solving problems, and making decisions
  • Experience with SOAP and REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Understanding of multi-datacenter, cloud-native architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Good Knowledge of database and AWS technologies
  • Experience with embedded PaaS products and tools, SaaS, and continuous delivery
  • Ensure leadership is informed with timely updates and effective task prioritization
  • Align and prioritize features with key business needs
  • Really wanting to learn, grow, and understand what customers need (customer empathy!)
