Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Web Product Design, Web Development or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • 4+ years of experience in a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in user experience, interaction design, product innovation and research in a product development team required.
  • Relevant experience contributing to the design and development of shipped digital experiences.
  • Proficiency in standard design processes and best practices, with a focus on delivering solid solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale confidently.
  • Understanding of human-centered design principles and their application in digital product development.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with cross-functional peers.
  • Recognition of business goals and technical constraints in design decision-making.
  • Basic knowledge of how to leverage a design system.
  • Relevant agile experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define new solutions using well-known tools such as Jira and Figma within a product model and agile-like processes.
  • Integrate human-centered methods into design ensuring that user needs and perspectives are considered throughout the digital product development process.
  • Address specific product capabilities that need to be solved, such as optimizing a process or improving user engagement, based on direction received from team leads or managers.
  • Communicate decision-making rationale confidently to design team members in a clear way while considering business goals and technical constraints when making design decisions.
  • Contribute actively to meetings and discussions, sharing insights and ideas to drive progress. Collaborate effectively with your immediate product team and other teams you’ve been assigned to.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience working in diversified financial service.
  • Familiarity with design systems and how they are leveraged across multiple products.
  • An understanding of how human factors impact ROI and the product development lifecycle and familiarity with common design research methodologies and applications.
