Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
  • Three years of work experience in job offered or in an engineering-related occupation
  • Three years of experience in 3D and 2D CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or Creo)
  • Three years of experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Three years of experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Three years of experience in Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Three years of experience in designing prototypes, utilizing a variety of manufacturing techniques including 3D printing, CNC machining, and casting
  • Three years of experience in Statistical Tolerance Analysis
  • Three years of experience in material properties such as plastics, metals, or adhesives
  • Three years of experience in design for high volume manufacturing techniques such as injection molding, stamping, extruding, or die-casting
  • Three years of experience in design of products requiring cosmetic surface treatments and interfacing with Industrial Design teams
  • Three years of experience in working with complex electromechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop systems for VR, AR, or new technology initiatives, from early prototyping through mass-production.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team for collaboration beyond mechanical engineering.
  • Use mechanical engineering fundamentals, prototyping skills, CAD fluency, manufacturing process knowledge, and experience designing consumer electronics to contribute to mechanical solutions.
  • Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems, and work through the full product development cycle from concept inception to shipping.
  • Collaborate and manage work with global supply chains and distributed engineering teams.
  • Utilize state of the art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problems while working with cross-functional technical teams.
