Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Enrolled in an engineering program with an accredited school.
  • Understand the basics of engineering theory and principles of design.
  • Working knowledge in computer-based software, organizational/communication skills, ability to work with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new product concepts and advancement of product portfolio. The product concepts include, but are not limited to; 4WD, AWD, and Electrification product lines.
  • Responsible for completing and driving benchmarking in North America.
  • Assist with concepts for ‘Acquisition Projects’ / Customer Request for Quotation responses.
  • Help develop concepts according to product portfolio roadmap and analyze for feasibility.
  • Participate in the research and analysis of opportunities for innovative products, stay informed of industry trends and company strategy.
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (IATF 16949).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understand what it takes to have demonstrated ability to deliver creative solutions within the automotive applications.
  • Experience working with a global team.
  • Exposure to writing reports and completing projects from start to finish.
  • Hands on experience with competitive unit tear-downs.
  • Hands on experience with vehicle application calculations.
  • Interpret and understand detail product drawings.
