Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a producer in a medium or large market is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, journalism or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask.
- Ideal candidate has familiarity with newsroom computer systems, graphics programs and video editing software.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling, urgent, informative, and entertaining 5pm and 9pm news shows on weekends.
- Move seamlessly from breaking news and severe weather coverage to creative, digitally focused news segments.
- Maintain a close relationship with the digital team to tailor content for various platforms.
- Lead the weekend editorial process with the anchor, field reporters, assignment desk team, and digital team.
- Develop video and graphic elements for each story and design reporter hits that don’t fit into traditional norms.
- Work closely with talent to prioritize live audience engagement on social media.
Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in journalism or a related field preferred.
