Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2 – 4 year experience in molding
- Must be familiar with plastic molding and troubleshooting machines
- Basic math skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well with individuals at all levels within and outside the company
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate all equipment
- Maintain all operations in a safe and efficient way
- Document process steps to comply with approved guidelines
- Assist in maintaining ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’ (GMP) within the plant
- Evaluate and recommend equipment modifications to improve efficiency
- Assist management in tracking process trends/genesis units
- Perform attribute inspections
- Know Service Technician and Material Handler duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by Production supervisor or Shift responsible
- Quality control: Distinguish different defects
- Know the different dimensions
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems & electrical systems of machines
- Troubleshoot minor problems
- Understand materials & cycles to explain why different materials require different cycles
- Make proper adjustments to machines when ware is not running to specs
- Know proper way to shut down and start up machines
- Have basic knowledge of all secondary equipment: Set-up flaming line, Mold heaters
- Train & assist other production operators
- Chart bottles using genesis system
- Assist in Garvey line setup
