Requirements
- 2 year degree in Engineering or 3-5 years equivalent working experience
- Experience with Toshiba Presses considered an asset
- PVC Plastics experience is helpful with solid understanding of RJG Scientific Molding
- Working knowledge of blending raw materials and the injection molding process & tooling
- A proven record in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment with ISO 9001
- Excellent leadership/management, written & verbal communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- A strong working knowledge of computers using word processing and spreadsheets
Responsibilities
- Manage projects related to process improvement as related to equipment, tooling, and production procedures
- Conduct technical training in the molding department for machine operators
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimize utilization, documenting process parameters both electronically and on paper
- Maintain quality standards by aligning with the Approved Compounds/Components List, Quality Control Manual, and ISO procedures
- Test new tooling and equipment to check process efficiency and measure results
- Identify, report, and follow-up on maintenance related issues by use of the work order system
- Assist in the start-up and solving of process related problems with production equipment, tooling, and auxiliary equipment
- Assist the Production Manager in the review the master schedule supplied by the Production Planner daily for planning the labor resources, machine utilization, and change over activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Toshiba Presses considered an asset
- PVC Plastics experience is helpful with solid understanding of RJG Scientific Molding
