Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in science or engineering from an accredited university preferred.
  • 0-2 years experience in a process engineering environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent minimum.
  • 3+ years experience in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Basic technical expertise.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized in scheduling, executing responsibilities and prioritizing in a multitask environment.
  • Self-starter, able to work alone with limited supervision.
  • Team player – maintain a positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
  • Computer skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist NPD projects as assigned and in compliance with Procedures, Programs, and Policies.
  • Execute Design of Experiments for Pilot Plant Scale-Up and Production Scale-Up.
  • Operates and ensures pilot plant machines/production equipment is prepared for operation and installed following protocols and procedures and performs regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency and ensures are functioning to specifications.
  • Executes required lab testing as needed for pilot plant and field trials.
  • Analyze and Report Design of Experiment data identifying result compared to expectations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop a rapport with PM team, QA Team, and R&D personnel.
  • Maintain housekeeping, 5S and organization of pilot area.
  • Manage raw materials for pilot plant activities.
  • Assist in developing/assembling tooling and equipment in support of these activities.
  • Assist in identifying, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives which reduce waste and non-value added activities.
  • Provide support on any production/product/quality issues as required.
  • Evaluate equipment and process capabilities and make recommendations on equipment design and selection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in science or engineering from an accredited university preferred.
