Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in science or engineering from an accredited university preferred.
- 0-2 years experience in a process engineering environment preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent minimum.
- 3+ years experience in a process manufacturing environment.
- Basic technical expertise.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized in scheduling, executing responsibilities and prioritizing in a multitask environment.
- Self-starter, able to work alone with limited supervision.
- Team player – maintain a positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
- Computer skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Assist NPD projects as assigned and in compliance with Procedures, Programs, and Policies.
- Execute Design of Experiments for Pilot Plant Scale-Up and Production Scale-Up.
- Operates and ensures pilot plant machines/production equipment is prepared for operation and installed following protocols and procedures and performs regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency and ensures are functioning to specifications.
- Executes required lab testing as needed for pilot plant and field trials.
- Analyze and Report Design of Experiment data identifying result compared to expectations and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop a rapport with PM team, QA Team, and R&D personnel.
- Maintain housekeeping, 5S and organization of pilot area.
- Manage raw materials for pilot plant activities.
- Assist in developing/assembling tooling and equipment in support of these activities.
- Assist in identifying, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives which reduce waste and non-value added activities.
- Provide support on any production/product/quality issues as required.
- Evaluate equipment and process capabilities and make recommendations on equipment design and selection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in science or engineering from an accredited university preferred.
