Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Project Leader, Instrumentalist Engineer, or related occupation
  • Three years of experience with: Programming and troubleshooting Siemens FACS (SiFACS) Version 4 and above and Rockwell FACS (GFACS) Version 5 and 6; Allen Bradley Studio 5000 program design and troubleshooting skills, Allen Bradley PLC Global Common Architecture Standard; Siemens SINAMICS Servo Drives and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) programming, start-up and troubleshooting; Allen Bradley Kinetix Servo Drives and Power Flex VFD programming, start-up and troubleshooting; EPLAN Electric software experience; Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Technical Drawings interpretation and design knowledge. Global Common Architecture Standard; and Industrial Ethernet-IP Network, Ethernet-IP network topologies used in the Automotive industry, Local Area Network (LAN) and Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)
  • Two years of experience with: Machine Vision systems and basic concepts.

Responsibilities

  • New program implementation and execution for SOR prep, forecasting, controls design, equipment build, run-off, and buyoff
  • Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for production of high quality parts
  • Manage deliveries to program timing milestones working with multiple suppliers
  • Provide project report outs to senior management
  • Existing program and site support including troubleshooting
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all customers and plants
  • Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers and suppliers
  • Design and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems
