Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of work experience within the financial services industry required (asset management, wealth management or alternatives experience preferred)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and French (plus).
- Demonstrated passion for capital markets and alternative investments.
- Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture, with a focus on excellence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with web-based CRM technology (e.g. SalesForce).
Responsibilities
- Partner with External Sales Specialists to drive sales within assigned territory(s).
- Cultivate relationships with financial advisors through high-quality interactions, including proactive and reactive calls, emails and follow-ups as well as limited in-person territory meetings.
- Maintain a high-level of client service by answering inbound inquiries and working with the operations team to resolve specific account issues.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate Blackstone’s sophisticated products (fund objectives, terms, exposures, manager strategy, positioning, performance attribution, etc.).
- Take a consultative approach in profiling financial advisors in order to understand their business, clients, and investment challenges to better match Blackstone solutions to their needs.
- Work with External Sales specialists to establish and execute on territory plan(s) and utilize data to optimize engagement with financial advisors.
- Utilize the CRM system to log all client/prospect related activity on a daily basis.
