Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a privacy advisory, with ad tech experience highly preferred
- Member in good standing of a U.S. state bar or qualified lawyer England & Wales
- Strong knowledge of US data privacy laws, including CCPA, and other state laws and industry specific regulations
- Working knowledge of international privacy regulations such as GDPR and LGPD
Responsibilities
- Own the drafting, maintenance and management of internal policies, processes and procedures, as well as external privacy documentation such as DV’s privacy notices
- Be the primary resource responsible for the review and negotiation of client and vendor DPAs, including supporting the review of security requirements in collaboration with the DV Security team
- Work cross-functionally to provide guidance focused on balancing best-in-class privacy compliance with a proactive, business-friendly and technically sound approach, and implement Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default across our Solutions and operations
- Lead PIAs/DPIAs/TIAs and other assessments as necessary to provide guidance and to ensure offerings are crafted, built, and maintained in a way that aligns with applicable privacy obligations around the world
- Support DV’s Chief Privacy Officer with global privacy projects and initiatives as required from time to time, including assessing and analyzing operational, regulatory and legal implications of ongoing and future M&A transactions
- Contribute to strategic analysis of legal implications of using personal data, primarily around new products and technology enhancements
- Find creative solutions to minimize privacy risks while enabling business goals
- Collaborate with teams across DV to help drive a global data protection program and governance structure consistent with relevant laws and regulations
- Draft, implement, maintain and support communication of templates (e.g., DV DPAs)
- Support RFI/RFP processes as needed
- Enable deployment of various privacy management technologies as required from time to time, including working with broader legal team to ensure contract management tools appropriately track privacy requirements
- Stay current with applicable and emerging global data privacy and security laws, including CCPA, GDPR, and other U.S. and international privacy laws
