Principal / Senior Principal Metrology Characterization Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 years of relevant experience (for Principal Engineer)
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years of relevant experience (for Senior Principal Engineer)
Hands on experience with semiconductor fabrication equipment
Hands-on experience with Metrology equipment (such as CD SEMs, profilometers, Raman Spectroscopy, ellipsometers, XRD, XRF)
Experience working in a cleanroom environment for extended periods of time
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
Acted as a technical lead in prior experiences
US Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Maintaining, existing, and developing new in-line metrology recipes and techniques for metrology and characterization tools
Writing and maintaining process documentation, including development of new process standards and documentation
Partner with vendors and equipment engineers to drive existing and future tools to meet foundry and program needs
Supporting statistical process control (SPC), continuous improvement efforts, and the management and dissemination of metrology data
Mentoring and training of new and junior engineers on metrology and characterization tools while acting as a designated team lead for the team

Experience in lean manufacturing practices and structured problem-solving methodology
Data analysis and visualization (JMP)
Formal team leadership or management experience
Experience developing technical specifications for equipment procurement
Experience utilizing KLA, AMAT equipment
Experience coordinating with vendors
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph
