Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Five years’ progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or any related occupation
- 5 years’ experience working with the papermaking process
- 5 years’ experience making alkyl ketene dimer (AKD) and alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA) emulsions
- 5 years’ experience making rosin emulsions
- 5 years’ experience working with colloid stabilization systems
Responsibilities
- Participate in research projects directed toward the development of novel aqueous systems of hydrophobic materials (emulsions and dispersions) for applications in papermaking systems
- Focus on the sizing of paper with an emphasis on internal sizing
